For over thirty years, Patrick has been an advocate, negotiator and participant in forestry, land use, marine and environmental policy development and conflict resolution from Haida Gwaii to the Rio Earth Summit to the Great Bear Rainforest. Since 1995 he has been involved in every aspect of the Great Bear Rainforest story from conflict to the final agreement and its implementation.
His strategic issues management skills and communications advice are widely sought by Canadian, US and European clients, as is his proven ability to engage constructively on their behalf with environmental groups.
Patrick founded Moresby Consulting Ltd in 1987 [http://www.moresbyconsulting.com] with his partner Brenda. Brenda is an expert in eco-systems and sustainable capacity, as well as an editor and researcher in her own right. Moresby Consulting Ltd is a founding member of the Forest Stewardship Council.
Patrick has been involved in forest certification and procurement policies since 1992 (CSA, SFI and PEFC standards)
Patrick is also a published writer and documentary photographer.
